Eat consciously
Is a full stomach all it takes to be satisfied? Eating well, properly and in a balanced way - it's just not as easy as it sounds. At some point, you will definitely have found yourself staring at the ingredients and nutrition facts listed on your product packs in disbelief and awe. So, which of them does your body need? Was it the saturated or unsaturated fats that are the healthy ones? And what about calcium? Is there a "too much" that's harmful?
Foodurama helps you keep track of what you eat. Not only does Foodurama log all the dishes and beverages you've had today, but it also suggests what to eat to ensure a balanced diet. No matter if you're trying to stay in shape or regain last year's physique, Foodurama will enhance your awareness.

So, what went wrong, then?
Why is it so hard to stick to a balanced diet, really? Sure, you're aware of the problems: bad habits, convenience and lack of time can easily drive you into eating that fatty burger instead of a diligently prepared meal. But maybe there are a number of dishes that are prepared just as quickly, but are far more suitable to your body's needs?
So, maybe you've simply never delved into the nutritional sciences to find out what you need. Being full is one thing - meeting your nutritional requirements is a whole different story.
Foodurama helps you...
- Find out what your body needs
- Eat a more balanced diet
- Get to know a greater selection of foods/dishes
- Keep an eye on your weight
- Stick to special diets
All requirements are based on recommendation of the WHO.
Nutrition
Nutrition is a science in its own right. Entire truckloads of specific literature could be ploughed through and you still wouldn't have covered all facets of the topic. In most cases that's not necessary, minor adjustments may suffice. Of course, Foodurama can never be a substitute for your doctor, pharmacist or professional nutritionist, that'd be irresponsible. But going from extreme to more moderate eating habits requires support – support that Foodurama can provide. Did you engage in a lot of physical activities this week? Of course, you'll have different requirements now than last week, back when you still spent hours upon hours in front of the TV in your classy dressing gown. Does your new job keep you on your feet all day, unlike your former office work? All of this will significantly influence the balance of your diet.

See, without knowing which food you had yesterday, the day before yesterday or last week, it's almost impossible to really eat diversely. And this is where Foodurama comes into play.
Log and evaluate
So, do you know what you had yesterday? And the day before? Last week? Every single meal, every choc bar, every drink you had? Enter Foodurama's calendar which shows you directly what you ate at any time in the past few weeks. Adding a dish is as easy as drag and drop. Select from our extensive food database and drop whatever you ate or drank onto the calendar, specify the amounts and you're done. Foodurama immediately saves your data and incorporates it in its calculations. By the suggestions Foodurama makes, you can easily find out whether it's okay to eat steak next friday or if you should stick to eating salad. Or if you gave in to temptation today, what should you be eating tomorrow?

There are almost 8000 entries in the database - chances are your favorite food is among them. Besides ordinary every-day food, you'll find strange delicacies, some of them very hard to find even in specialized stores, some, especially ethnic food, impossible to come by in your area. But what about travels? All of this changes as soon as you're out of your hotel, far from tourist attractions. You'll be surprised how many dishes can be found in this database, dishes that you might need the locals to spell out for you.
Nutritional values
At some point, you will definitely have found yourself staring at the ingredients and nutrition facts listed on your product boxes in disbelief and awe. So which of them does your body need? Was it the saturated or unsaturated fats that are the healthy ones? And what about calcium? Is there a "too much" that's harmful? Foodurama helps you keep track of what you eat.
Find out which nutrition values to be conscious about, the amounts recommended by nutritionists and how close to these values you have been in the past. Of course, these requirements are customizable.

Personalized
Everybody is different. Nothing new about that. But so is everybody's requirement profile. A pro athlete needs a different diet than a watchmaker or a lab assistant. Your energy consumption is determined by the PAL. This abbreviation stands for "personal activity level", a unit that describes a person's average activity level. For example, a clerk will definitely have a lower PAL than a construction worker.

But that's not all Foodurama can adapt to. Special circumstances, like pregnancy, lactation period, nicotine withdrawal, endurance training, or a specific elemental diet, greatly influence the composition of your diet tailored to your body's needs. All of this can be set in Foodurama with just a few clicks, and you'll find the suggestions even more personalized to you than before.
